Week 6: Dynamic mobile websites

  • Designing database for Mobile applications
  • XHTML tutorial 2
  • PHP tutorial (display text, working with variables, working with Databases)
  • ASP.NET websites (optional)
  • Examine ASP.NET capacity within SCIM
  • Windows mobile development (ASP.NET + SQL 2005 for mobile)
  • Portfolio task: complete task and link your m-portfolio to it

Objectives

Practical experiences designing for mobile devices

Create a mobile website fully functional.

Create dynamic websites

Tasks

  • Continue from the previous website you have done (Mobile Shop) and pull your data from a database i.e. The list of albums, tracks and other.. should come from the database
  • If you have a registration form, data should be kept in the database.

Portfolio task:

Submit the link leading to your new website. I hope I dont have to remind you that this is a mobile website.

Note

As from week 7, your task will not be accepted if you have not turned up to the class. Only those present during the class session will be allowed to submit their work. If you have a good reason not to come to the class, please provide us a written confirmation that you have been exempt from some of the classes. If you have a medical condition preventing you from coming to the class, please contact student support.
